HIST 444**. Revolution and Social Change in Latin America 3.00 This seminar will explore why revolutions were a major feature of the Latin American landscape throughout the modern era and how they contributed to changes in society. In a typical semester the course will explore the lives of leaders such as Che and Emiliano Zapata and investigate the causes and consequences of revolutionary actions in Cuba, Mexico and Nicaragua. Prerequisite: HIST 395 or permission of the instructor.
