HIST 458. Modern European Intellectual History 3.00 This upper-level seminar considers important thinkers and major trends in philosophical, social, and aesthetic thought in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Europe. Instead of merely surveying a series of ideas and thinkers, the course will trace the development of ideas across times and cultures by undertaking careful readings of key texts. History Majors must have earned credit for HIST 395 prior to enrolling in this course.
