Learning, Technology and Leadership Education (LTLE)

A basic understanding of the principles of video equipment along with skills in the use, set up and operation of editing applications.

An in-depth study of a narrowly defined topic or practice in media. May be repeated for credit when course content changes.

This course is an applied exploration of immersive technology, focused on applications to training and education. Virtual, augmented, mixed reality, 360° media, 3D scanners and other emerging related technology will be covered. The course is intended for novices to the field of AR/VR and immersive media production. Students will develop unique applications, media and more through interdisciplinary team-based projects for real clients, focused on areas of immersive technology in education.

The course prepares students for meeting the challenges presented by globalization and workforce diversity in HRD. Topics include the impact of increasing globalization and diversity on HRD and the workplace, cross-cultural communications, conflict resolution in diversity settings, global diversity management, ethics, and cross-culture leadership competencies. It examines and explores theories and techniques for dealing with institutional 'isms' (e.g., multiculturalism, sexism, ageism).

Designed to provide in-depth and up-to-date exposure to the topics/issues pertinent to human resource development and allow students to explore topics of special interest in human resource development.

Designed to provide workshop experience in a variety of areas involving learning, technology and leadership. Workshop content will be determined by demand, interest and input from local, regional and state clientele. May be repeated up to six hours.

This course represents a "clinical" or "action research" approach to project development in which students identify problems then systemically design, develop and pilot an intervention.

Continued preparation in anticipation of the comprehensive review. Course may be repeated as needed.
