NSG 354H. The Art and Science of Nursing

This course is designed to provide an overview of current issues relevant to the art and science of the practicing nurse. This course will provide the student with a concentrated focus on the role of the professional nurse and the nursing profession. The course explores nursing theory, health care models of practice and diversity issues, as well as legal and ethical realities within the healthcare delivery system. Students will also demonstrate an understanding of the ethical component of developing and conducting research. Prerequisite: Admission to the honors program.
