SOCI 311. Sociology of the Environment

This course will introduce students to the central debates that currently preoccupy environmental sociology and political ecology. Emphasis is placed on the importance of sociological, historical and cultural modes of inquiry for understanding: socio-ecological change/crisis, environmental justice/injustice, eco-technological change and the politics of “nature”.
