ISAT 435. Lean Six Sigma Applications

This course focuses on applying lean and Six Sigma in industry, with an emphasis on selection and application of tools in a production or supply chain environment. Students will learn to map and model business processes, analyze these processes, and implement and document the improved process. Lean topics include standardized work, just-in-time production, value stream mapping and jidoka. Six Sigma topics include ishikawa diagrams, hypothesis testing, quality function deployment, process sigma calculation and control plans. Prerequisite: ISAT 433  or admission to the global supply chain management minor or permission of the instructor.
