3.00
This course provides an introduction to Stalinism in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. The course consists of three units: theories, practices, and memories of Stalinism. Each unit explores various political, economic, social, and cultural issues related to the Stalinist modernization drive. Prerequisite: History Majors must have earned credit for HIST 395  prior to enrolling in this course.
