HIST 482. French History Seminar

Broad introduction to a particular aspect of early modern, revolutionary or modern French history that is characterized by extensive historical debate. See instructor for thematic focus. Students develop knowledge of historical content and of the historiography/methodological approaches, conduct independent research and present findings in writing and in formal research colloquia. Students may repeat seminar for credit if topics differ. Prerequisite: History Majors must have earned credit for HIST 395  prior to enrolling in this course.
