HIST 448**. Gender in Latin America and the Iberian World 3.00 This course is designed to introduce students to critical issues, theories and methods of gender history through the study of the history of Latin America and the broader Iberian world. Students will study select peoples and cultures of Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula exploring how they lived and understood gender and sexuality during the pre-colonial, colonial and/or modern eras. Prerequisite: HIST 395 or permission of the instructor.
