HIST 464. Renaissance and Reformation

A study of High Medieval civilization as an introduction to the history of Modern Europe. Attention is given to the Italian and Northern Renaissance, fragmentation of Western Christendom, intellectual impact of Luther and Calvin on Western thought, and structure of Tudor despotism in England. Prerequisite: History Majors must have earned credit for HIST 395  prior to enrolling in this course.
