CHEM 361. Biochemistry I

An introduction to the molecules and chemical reactions of living systems. Structure and function of important classes of biomolecules are explored and the relationship of structure to function is stressed. Basic metabolic sequences are discussed. Prerequisite: Grade of “C-“or higher in CHEM 241  and permission of the instructor. Completion of CHEM 242  is strongly recommended.
